J. M. Finn & Co. Ltd. is an independent private client stockbroker with approximately £4bn under management as at June 2007. Their 300 staff are based in London, Bristol, Leeds and Suffolk. J. M. Finn & Co. Ltd. was founded as a partnership in 1945, incorporated as a private limited company in 2006 and has been a member of the London Stock Exchange for over 60 years.

In August 2007, J. M. Finn & Co. Ltd. transferred its corporate finance, research and institutional broking business into a new subsidiary, FinnCap. The management team and employees of FinnCap have taken a significant equity stake in the business, meaning they have made a substantial financial commitment.
