Purposeful Culture

Purposeful Culture

Our culture is what makes us different - finnCap is a people-first business. Since our MBO in 2007 we have put 'doing the right thing' at the heart of our ethos. This means doing all we can to look after our team and our clients, as well as building a more inclusive community of entrepreneurs and developing positive collaborative partnerships to influence change.

We believe that companies require a broader 'consent to exist' from the community in which we operate and should have clear goals and objectives - beyond just shareholder returns - in order to demonstrate and measure a wider contribution to the communities in which we operate.

A progressive, inclusive, innovative and collegiate mindset is at the heart of everything we do to deliver things in the right way. We believe we have a responsibility to help our community, whether local or global. As a firm of entrepreneurs, we are proud to partner education programmes which focus developing youth entrepreneurship and enhancing social mobility. Meanwhile we encourage our people to volunteer and support this and other causes in their local community.

Community Outreach

We believe that we have a responsibility to help our community, whether local or global.

As a firm of entrepreneurs, we are proud to partner with education programmes which focus developing youth entrepreneurship and enhancing social mobility that help develop the innovative business thinkers of tomorrow. It is why we have created 'A Fairer Foundation'.

We also encourage our people to volunteer and support this and other causes in their local community.

Diversity and Inclusion

We continue to focus on diversity and inclusion and believe we have already seen the value that comes through a diverse team and will continue to support difference as a highly agile, creative and collegiate firm.

Volunteering

Many of our team participate in regular voluntary work and raise money for charity.  In 2020, we launched our volunteering policy ensuring the firm supports these activities in giving all employees 2 days paid leave per year to support their charitable/voluntary intiatives.

Working with social enterprises around education

We are an entrepreneurial business and we recognise how important it is to develop, mentor and champion business and social skills in future generations.

We work across charities and social enterprises to encourage entrepreneurship skills, including YourGamePlan and icanyoucantoo.

finnCap also donates its surplus/aged expired computers and tablets, where suitable, to local schools which then allocate to pupils according to need.
